Default Where to find 20 inch tires in Canada

Hi All just wondering where I might find tires in Canada for my FAT that has 20 inch rims. Would the 12.5 Michelins fit the rims?

Thanks

Louie

They will be a little baloonish.

Personally, I like to use either the old goodyear MLVW tires if you can still find them, or else the 11.00-20 non-directional from the USA. Titan brand has worked well for me. There is a seller right now in Wisconsin who has the 11-20s new for $125 USD each.

Default I have Titan 1100x20s on both my C60

Hi Louis

My C60S Pattern 13 came out of NATO stocks in the 1980s and it had the Michelins on it but they were miss matched so I replaced them with used US 1100x20 nondirectionals.

About 7 years ago I had the chance to buy fresh from the factory Titans 1100x20 bought 8 of them so both my Pat 12 C60L and my Pat 13 C60S got them. Paid lot more than what this guy is selling his for, so I suppect that are surplus from the military unused but may be several years old. If I need tires that is a really good price.

Cheers Phil

It would seem that, with the demise of the older 2-1/2 ton and 5 ton trucks that the US military is getting rid of their bias ply tires.

I have used a number of the titan tires in several sizes and have been happy with them, especially in regard to them not weather cracking prematurely. I do not recommend the STA tires for that very reason.

The titans that I have bought seem to be in the 2006-2009 date range.

As to price, their price is about a quarter of what a new 11.00-20 will cost you. Up here in Canada, the few companies that I have noticed who import will charge you about $800CDN for that tire, in the US, it will be about $400 USD. So for $125, it is kind of hard to beat. I use one of the border shipping services and go down to pick them up.
