Default Lynx, M10, Carrier etc on kijiji

On Kijiji ads across Canada: http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-other/ci...les/1226570676

Looks like many of the CMEC vehicles from BC. Sure wish prices were posted.

Edited to add: Looks like the answer to my question was listed on the ad: http://www.militaryrestorations.com/vehicles-for-sale

A bit too rich for a little guy like me.

Is that the same M10 that we saw have the steering/brake issues and roll over the hill?

I would think it is.

A few of the vehicles listed have been on MLU before. Canada is, after all, a rather small collector fraternty. The lynx was listed about 6 months back, and the High Speed tractor was listed by Dan Jahn about a year back if I recall correctly.

Default Lynx, M10, Carrier etc on kijiji

Hello everyone.

Just to clear the air right away . None of these vehicles or equipment are part of CMEC ( Canadian Military Education Centre ) inventory. Some may have been on display in the museum but are privately owned.

Thank you

Dan Jahn

Apoliogies Dan if it looked like I inferred they were museum property. My understanding of the CMEC group was that it was more of a fraternity in which it's members could display their artifacts in a museum setting.

Hi Rob.

No problem. You are correct CMEC was made up of all volunteers and one of the perks was a place to keep your vehicle on display.

The "faux Achilles" seems a touch pricey considering it is a complete replica without one actual M10 or Achilles piece on it...

I find that by asking wives for the moon, to which they will say no, that then trying to buy a small town will seem reasonable. I call it pre-conditioning.

Half your stuff nothing. My dear bride of 32 years promises a bonfire should things go sideways. Luckily I'm so ridiculously happy with her that the big fire has never been the slightest worry. My collection of toys is a testament to her benevolence.

It wouldn't be something like Chris Micheal Parker, would it?

You score 2 out of 3. First name is Colin. Choice was made for exactly the reason Jordan said.

That's commitment Bruce!
For the WC Dodge fans, my younger son's middle name is Braden.

I guess that's preferable to Garwood or Heil if you had been a GMC/Stude 6x6 nut.

Gents and especialy Bruce, your zeal ( Lynn speaks of commitment ) towards the hobby leaves me speechless ... That is especially amazing considering my own involvement .

You're right! Tulsa wouldn't have cut it either.
It was a bit rushed. The Bayliff turned up one Saturday morning (pleasant guy) and told us we had a week to register the wee fella with the Births, Deaths and Marriages dept. (we had to get him lined up for paying tax ) That was about 32 years back.

It's a terminal disease Robert.

It was driving down the hill to get loaded on a trailer for a public event...can you imagine if it had "runaway" like that into a crowd of people? Would have been more than bruised egos...

Note to self... stay out of the path of one of these things if I ever see one at a public event.

Im guessing that it mowed down some decent sized trees.
