Whats this trailer

I picked this up at a farm auction and was wondering if anybody could date it? I think it should be towed behind a jeep.

Nice find. Your new trailer looks like a US Ben Hur trailer, WW2 era, that was towed by larger vehicles than Jeeps. They were made by many manufacturers. The wheels don't look original. Are there any data plates on it?

The wheel on the other side looks military but it
is a smaller wheel than the ones on the website.
I didn't look for data plates but may try before spring.
I just bought a very nice original box for a CMP
from a neighbor and will try to post a pic
when I get it home. Too bad I don't have
a truck to put it on!
