Default AWM126 oddities

Found some odd bod vehicles returned from the M.E.

Bantam car D/S M15296 . What would that be ?? Very strange - Bantam only made tiny cars that were based on the British Austin 7 and then Bantam went on and developed and built the BRC Jeep. What does (301 SUN) mean ?

Citroen M15118 YWCA: captured from the Vichy French in Syria ?

Puegeot car M15313 D/S Red Cross

Red annotation: SAN 54 boarded G33 jan 45. 54 is a very early Sales Advice Number: it was a paper receipt issued by the Disposals Commission

Default Chev staff cars

I assume the red annotations refer to vehicles returned to Australia or left at Ceylon ?

Default 2nd hand vehicles

I think these 'voluntary 2nd hand sale' vehicles are vehicles the army purchased as used vehicles rather than 'impressed' vehicles where the owner had no choice but to sell the vehicle to the Govt.

ARN 51000 to 51147

This 'voluntary 2nd hand sale' group includes 1937 models .....
