Here were the main plants in early 1944. By the end of the war they had almost doubled in size. They had dozens of smaller plants, shops, repair facilities all over Australia as well. As well as vehicles they produced thousands of aircraft engines, complete aircraft, field guns, vessels of all sizes, tents, webbing, tooling for other factories etc etc.

Just noticed the landing barges had Ford V8 engines. GM must have been less than enthusiastic to fit these when they had a similar power engine of their own.
