Default Tac Sign

I was wondering what the tac sign might be, rectangular, divided from bottom corner left to top corner right blue over white, maybe yellow...

Chris,

I would tend to suspect your arm-of-service (AOS) panel is blue over yellow which was used by the RCASC. Blue over white divided diagonally was not used. The RC Sigs used blue over white but that AOS was divided horizontally.

Cheers,
Dan.

Thanks Dan, and yes, blue over yellow it is.
Is this marking appropriate for a 1970s era Canadian mv?

Chris,

I'm not entirely sure when AOS were discontinued. I know you would be good for the 1960's, but I would have to defer to others for anything later.

I seem to recall that when all of the vehicles in the Army were festooned with the full colour CF symbol on the doors, all of the other insignia were removed. But I could be mistaken in thinking this was the case.

Good look in your search and with your vehicle.

Cheers,
Dan.
