Default Mannequin for sale

I've two, and I've decided to sell "Tom". He's the guy with the Tanker's helmet, WW2 dated Pixie suit, net scarf and black boots ( the latter NOT WW2). No Hands, but he looks good, presents well as a display. Those of you in southern Ontario who have visited me in my various environs are familiar with him. I've had him since the late 70's (along with his buddy Rupert, who's NOT for sale). Sad but necessary sale. Contact me via PM. Thanks.

Lots of web gear plus my Armoured Corps first-aid box still available (the latter complete except for morphine).

...GEEZ..... For a minute there, I thought you had stuffed MA and were selling her off.............

Oh well, Tom will probably be happy to get away from the constant ing of the Pixie herself

Hope you have a good set of ear defenders for Rupert.............

That's next, but right now I need her to feed the cats and coons. Have patience...

Rupert is kind of stoic, so he'll be alright in the interim....

Hi Geoff,

Can't you wear it yourself? It would be interesting to see you in battle dress for a change!

Cheers,

Stefan

Stefan, I can and have worn Rupert's battledress, the last time on parade at King's Stone in Southampton, May 2004! Tom's uniform is a 'Pixie Suit', used primarily by Armoured Corps blokes throughout the winter of 1944; one piece, lined, double-zippered coveralls with about a million pockets.

Exclamation Also....

I will also put up for sale my WW2 REL Canada artillery binoculars, pretty good condition with original leather strap. Optics are still OK, and the graduated reticle is intact. Comes with a C-broad-arrow marked Patt 37 web case which unfortunately has my name inked on the inside of the flap from 20 years ago when this stuff could be bought by the pound.

Jif, I thought that would INCREASE it's value.

I'll bet they've come in handy to find itty bitty Ma on the other side of the room on occasion too.

He loves my cooking ... I make a great white sauce and convert that to a different recipe taste everytime That may be my only redeeming qualities other than forcefeeding him vitamins and sneaking Vegimite into gravies and such (yes, I'm a sly one)

That PIXIE suit that Tom wears is anything but "pixie" sized ... I'm sure Tom is over 6 feet tall and the PIXIE suit fits! He's a tall and silent type ... rather uncommunicative, and is disabled (no hands) so I vaccum around him and I also say hello to him (and rupert) every day ... and goodnight too. Like talking to stone, but I do it anyways

These mannequins are really something ... I'm sure they're collectibles and it really is nice to have them here. i enjoy them a lot ... quietly. I'll miss either one/both if they go.

Geoff, I have been interested ever since you first posted that Tom was for sale. I have been scouring all the Flea markets within 100 miles of Corinth looking for male mannequins, so far I've just found one and it wasn't cheap....ended up paying $75.00 for it. I need two or three more for my display, but I'm sure the cost of shipping would be prohibitive. Probably cheaper to buy him an airline ticket and help Tom to his seat!
I've included a pic of a display I had at the Texas Hall of State during the state fair last year, unfortunately, I only have a shot of Spr. Bloggins feet with his kit displayed around him. (Now, before the torrent of postings arrive....yes, I know that a lowly Sapper would not be wearing brown leather Officer's boots, however they are authentic WW II and until I can get some ammunition boots, they will have to do. and yes he wouldn't have been issued a No1 Mk3, but at least it is an Enfield and not a crummy Ishapore so get off my back Jees! You guys are killin' me!) Now, where was I before all the interruptions!? Oh yes, your mannequin...I'm not even in a position to make you an offer right now as the doctor tells me it'll be 3 months before my shoulder heals and I can return to work and start getting paycheques again. Also, even with health insurance my physiotherapy co-pay is $300.00 a month so things are going are going to be tight around the Heuring household for a spell. (what's that I hear...violins?) lol Anyway, depending on many things, I'm going to make effort to be there for CC5, slim chance that it is, maybe, just maybe be able to purchase Tom and ship him home as baggage. You never know!

We'd LOVE to see you here for CC5, Derek! It has become a fantastic little show which more should emulate, and it would be great to meet you.

Tom is now a moot point as he was bought and collected by another (whose grandfather was Canadian Armoured Corps) a short time ago.

I wish you a Happy New Year and a speedy recovery! I do know how tough it is to get back after surgery.
