Engine cab cover
Hello All,
New to the forum having just purchased 1942 Ford F15A wireless bodied truck. Not to sure on the history yet. Think it may have been a bofors truck then had a wireless body put on at a later date by the old owner +1 ago. Has anyone got any info if there was a material cover to place over the engine cover in the cab to cut down on heat/noise. If so has anyone any pictures or know of one for sale Many thanks Chris |

Chris, welcome! And please pass our condolences to your family at this diagnosis of a case of The Green Disease.
The tool to attach photos is a browser box below the message writing page. You need to scroll down, navigate to the image and upload it, then close the box. The picture will be attached to the message, but not inside it. Good luck and good questions.

Many thanks for the info on attaching pictures.
Any advice on the Ford would be great. i have been told it is a 1942 but think it is a 1944 as has the late dash in. I know it is a 4x4 model so would make it a F15A. I think it has been changed in the past as now has a soft top and not a hard top cab, also i think it was once a gun truck for a polson. and not an original wireless truck, though the body i think is a 2K1 type.I have not taken delivery yet so will have a good look round for ID marks and plates. I think a vehicle date can be found behind the pintal tow hook at the rear. Any advice will be great and i will put some more pics on when i take delivery. |

Hi Lyne,
It's a 1941 Dodge WC10 Carryall produced on 4th April 1941, these were the early civilian dash models. don't know much history on her yet apart from was owned by a chap in california since the 60's when it was let loose from the MOD. The owner then passed away about 8-9 years ago and it ended up in Norway. I purchased her in 2014 and got her over to the UK. She is basicly all there, and still having the T207 straight 6 L-Head engine. Most changed out for T214. I had to replace the seats as were missing but she is almost done now. Regards Chris |
