Bob, the Unimogs only carry one. I guess when you need another, there will be something else that can be used. Besides, in most of Aussie one would be more than enough!

Is there any special markings to lookout for on the tyre pump?

I have a number of Canadian manufactured spanners and tools including one of the Ford type cranked adjustable spanners.
None however have any military markings on them. Are these civilian items or did Ford and GM not marked their tools. |

I have a Canadian Fuel Funnel for sale. Like Rob Fast's picture on page 1 of this thread it has a brass thread soldered to the spout to enable the use of the flexible spout used with the 2 Gal POL can. Asking Au$20.

This funnel is in good order, but is missing the filter gauze soldered in the neck. The steps in the top of the funnel are rests to upend a 2gal cal and sit it in the funnel while you go off and check oil levels and tyre pressures, etc.

A Grease Gun wouldn't be of any use without Grease, so here's a 2lb tin of "Grease No3". V.O.Co Ltd is the Vacuum Oil Company, which later became Mobil Australia.
Max has a few of these tins and is greasing people's palms with them. |

carrying on!
I thought i would add some pics and links in to this thread so they dont get lost in the abyss!
Jeff asked about details of the tyre correct pump- here they are. I picked up this pump for what could have been a $2 profit! I looked at the other one in the photo with the big base at a swap last year and the guy said '$5, i dont want to take it home', i said no because i needed it like a hole in my head. He then threw the CMP one at me and said there you go, 2 for $2, again i said no as i didnt know it was a CMP pump or i would have grabbed it first! He said ok, just take them- again i said no, he said i`ll give you $2 to take them- again i said no, i then ended up giving in and just giving him the $2 because i felt bad and took them so he would leave me! It wasnt until i got home and I was looking at the pumps I noticed a stamping. Off to the wire wheel, a bit of a brush and whala- the D^D appeared! I jumped around a fare bit that afternoon! For those wondering, the correct CMP pump is the dark green, shorter one on the left. The only marking on it are: D^D on the body at the top. D.E.P. on the cap and 7 on the base. Pics are available here: http://www.surfacezero.com/g503/show...717&ppuser=473 Cheers, Ian.

Thanks for that Hanno.
I`m still mastering the finer art of picture posting- big ones i can do, smaller ones linked is a work in progress! I can do a link and a small picture, but not together! I gave it a practice in the preview function for this reply with some of the same photo's but i couldnt get it to work. Where can i go on the site to read up about how to do it? http://www.surfacezero.com/g503/data...s/DSCN4611.jpg Ian.

Thanks for that Ian, I have probably walk past them at swaps, at least now I know what to look for.
This one was on OZ eBay a while back and unfortunately I missed out on it. It was advertised as a D^D tyre pump but this is the only photo of it. It went for a lot more than $2. Cheers Jeff P.S I have been looking at pick heads at swaps, markets, second hand stores for about 5 years and have never found a D^D one, except a shorter land rover one at Corowa this year(thanks to Tony) and I left it for Bill to buy.

Thanks again Hanno! Hows about this!!!
Thanks mate! Another thing to add to the resume! Jeff-more than welcome. I realised i didnt get some good overall shots and dimensions. I`ll take some and put up and into the above post. Now i know what to look for, i often see similar ones- but not exactly the same- ho hum, where theres 2, there is more! Thanks for the info on pick heads. I managed to find those 2 in one holiday trip in an antique store and a scrap yard/antiquey type place. I didnt know what to look for and just looked at every one I could find. Again, where there is 2, there must be more! I'll keep an eye out for both things for you. Check your email too- i sent you some stuff on the trailer register/database. Cheers, Ian.

Is this the spanner used for Ford CMP F15A 15-cwt rear hubs?
(When I worked on mine, I borrowed a makeshift spanner made from an old brass fire hose connector!) Quote:

Still available over the counter...
3" inch sockets are still available...... found mine brand new fro apprx. $34.00CDN........
You can always bury the new one in the backyard until it is rusted and looks old....... Sure beats using a chisels to butcher the nut... beiseds you cannot really set the tension ont he rear bearing properly without the proper socket.. BooB

Picked up a Walker 930 hydraulic jack at a Steam Show back in August. It is the 5ton model as depicted in the Service Bulliten. It is beside my Walker 925 3ton model as used on the Universal Carriers.
