Default Model T wheel video

How Ford made the wheels. It is such a hands on human assembly line with little automation of the process. Those guys on the line doing the same work all day long.

In the UK, steel Sankey 'artillery style' wheels were widely used i.e. on Austin and Morris cars from very early on. The downside is: the steel eventually rusts and then you have problems.

The guy lifting the model A engine blocks up onto a stand ! Henry Ford hated the unions.
