Default Some sort of Projectile?

This is another item that came out the Belgian military museum in the 1990s when it closed that I can't identify. It measures only about 6-7" long. Any ideas what this one might be?

Thank you!

Hello John.

Could this be a WW2, Naval, Hedgehog projectile?

It's too small to be a Hedgehog.

Without a scale its hard to determine the size. However, it may be an igniter for simple fuze. You stick the fuze at one end then ignite it by pulling on the ring at the other end. Typical small charges would see the simple fuze end with a blasting cap and intertwined with detonating cord, the other end of which was terminated with C4 explosives. We used to use these devices in the 70s to blow up grenade 'blinds' - unexploded grenades on the range.
