What’s the carrier on the left got resting on its Stacey towe attachment?

I think your right, unusual to see them in wartime pics and I’ve got one lol. Was it by design a pair could be carried between the towing attachment I wonder ?

Yes, great pics, were they actually armour plate?, I guessing they are, I suspect they would be more use on the Carrier giving rear bullet protection perhaps?.
