Thumbs up NZ 150th

hi people, well the 150th NZ Army celebrations went off really well.
a jeep broke down (fuel problem )and had to be towed, and as you can see in one of the street photos a trail of liquid on the tar seal from a bad leak in a land rover,
the Daimler scout car conked out at the end of our parade back at the drill hall.
sadly i only got photos from where i was and did not get close enough to take any of the ceremony from the army on parade.
we were very well treated by the army, and one spokesperson said that our display of older military vehicles showed some of the history of the army and they could appreciate the connection toward the celebration.
i must say it was an honor to be there and to be able to take part.

Great pics Ken. Can you tell me the meaning behind the blue headlights on the "Bardia" carrier?

Hi Ryan,
The carrier is an Australian LP2A that I bought a couple of years ago. It had the blue lenses fitted when I got it. I presume they are correct for this 1941 model?
Cheers,
Darryl

Default 150th

Good show and congratulations to the army on its 150th! The Canadian Military Engineers had its 100th a few yrs ago. We had a great time and lots of activities, even with troops in contact and next to nil public funds for the festivities.

Default Congratulations

Yay! Well done for a great show in what happens to be my home town.

Were the vehicles parked up in town (The Octagon) or just passing through in a parade?

Ummm scrub that last question as I hadn't yet seen the last three photos and the fact the vehicles are obviously parked!!

Things don't get any clearer with old age!
