TV doco
Watched a highly graphic doco on Tv this morning, on the ABC , or aunty as its known here . It aired at 11 am . Much colour footage of the Borneo -Tarakan and Balikpapan campaigns. And, some well researched interviews with veterans and academics . They mentioned the political goings on behind the scenes .. the Australians unwillingness to go in to Borneo and MacArthurs insistence that it go ahead . The corn pipe smoking man even turned up at Balikpapan and put on a public relations act for the cameras . Narrated by Jack Thompson ( overated actor).
It also centred on the POW's to a fair degree . Mike
