Default This query for modelers !!

Sitting here at my computer console,I looked up at my Aliteri 1/35 th scale of the tank" Bomb".Beside it,all in the same scale, to the right are my C-15 and my Chevy FAT plus limber & 25 Pounder gun.But looking to the left at my Aliteri Willys jeep,it sure looks out of proportion to the other models by the same maker!! Any input out there??

Don't gorget that from some angles the Jeep can look out of proportion all on it's own! (high and narrow) - the Italeri kit is ok in terms of size and was an accurate replica considering the age of the moulds. The Tamiya FGT (as Cliff is so fond of reminding us) is actually oversize for 1/35 and is closer to 1/32.

Default That FAT......

Hi there

The Tamiya FAT is not just oversized.

Originally produced in Japan as a motorized kit, the entire front end was dicked around with so the motor would fit.
The entire model is about 5-6 mm too wide for the same reason.

I'm working on a cab-12 Chevrolet 2-pounder portee using the Tamiya AND Italeri FAT kits and I've chopped and channelled the parts till there is very little left.

I just plug away, repeating to myself: "Its only a hobby, its only a hobby..........

Default FAT

Steve,
I'm in the process of finishing a Testot/Italeri FAT which I combined with the limber & 25 pounder from Tamiya which together look in proportion. However, when conpared with my C 15 by Aliteri, the C 15 looks a lot smaller.Any comparison on your part??

The FAT looks bigger mainly because of the 20inch wheels which give it a more chuncky look compared to the 15cwt truck which has 16in rims and fairly slim tyres.

By the way the kit manufactuerer is Italeri and not Aliteri.
