Another on way to duty in Heaven
My Uncle Bill died this AM in hospital He was 77. He enlisted in 1944 and the war was about finished when he finishing training. They asked him if he wanted to do garrison duty in Europe but that wasn't why he had signed up. He did his duty here in Canada before moving on to civilian duties. We didn't talk about it much as it was a non issue for him, country needed him , he went no-brainer. So that said I don't really know much more than that, other than he hated the ride of CMP's and loved carriers. Private William Plante, I'll miss you Uncle Bill.
