Exclamation West End BBQ & Meet This Weekend

MV pals,

The latest edition of the West End BBQ & Meet is being held by John Adamiak this weekend 09Aug03 at his place.

He lives at 13026 6th Line, Acton Ontario. According to the flyer he gave me, the fun starts at noon, trail ride, BBQ, camping, please BYOB.

I am planning on leaving Beachville before noon to get there early, and get in some good Universal Carriering. Those with very little to do could swing by my place and help me load up the beast, and our provisions.

E-mail first, 'cause all the rumours you heard about Beachville are all true, and let me know when you will arrive.

See you then.

Stewart
fingers crossed for dry wether

Default Bacon and Eggs? ..

... now that is CRAZY talk! Think of the cholesteral and calories!

Sean, you would probably be OK around these parts, but there are some who best not be here after darkness falls.

You saw Deliverance didn't you?

I'm going with Stewart, hope to see as many of you as possible there.

Well, Hello Sunray. I/We look forward to your visit to Acton where you can expostulate, gesticulate, pontificate, eradicate (mosquitoes), but not fornicate.

All of the above is, of course, predicated upon your propensity for 20 minute power naps. Cameras for this are de rigeur.

Poor Stewart Loy, having a co-driver who, at the critical lane change, nods off.

PS, Geoff...I'll bring your Flamethrower book.de rigeur

Default Preps A OK

Well fellas, good to see the interest in John's BBQ. As his official spokesman, due to the fact that he doesn't own a computer yet, I look forward, as does John, to seeing you all there. Wsa over tonite helping with the preparations (not H), doing some warmup beer tasting etc., all is looking well. John spends a lot of time, effort and his own $ to sponsor this event for all MV enthusiasts in the area. Will see you soon!

Default Plenty of Fun in Acton

Thanks to everyone who helped set up the weekend, especially John and his pal the landowner with the trail ride route. I think everybody I went with had plenty of fun. It was a pleasure to finally meet some of the CMPers that you only read about.

There were many fine vehicles there that demonstrate that many hours and dollars go the way mine do - thanks for showing my wife that I am not alone. ( I guess we are looking for a jeep now, also).

I just spent an hour power spraying the fun off the Carrier, and will have to look at those stretched tracks. I beleive the Carrier enjoyed it also, as there were no problems and everything worked just as the manual says it should!

I am looking forward to next year already!

Default SAME-SAME

An outstanding, low-key event in beautiful surroundings. THIS is what this hobby is supposed to be about. Kudos to Chris Vickery and John Adamiak for their dedication and hard work... I'm looking forward to next year, and hope that we can host something similar in the London area next summer as well! Plans are afoot....

Default PEE-ESS

Thanks to Stewart for not only the ride to-and-from, but for furnishing the "star of the show". Running carriers'll get them going everytime...

Time for us to plan a carrier get-together here in Ontario....
