In regards to your call for other bits, I have a leather cased dial site for the armor shield and the three part shell extractor/puller that is used for rounds that either didn't fire or did fire and wouldn't extract using the normal built in extractors.

Like almost everything else associated with the guns, these are rare and heavy items.

PM for details and photos if interested. I'm in Texas so you'd probably want them to go surface mail.

Default 25pdr

Dont you think it would be good manners to have a name and a location on your posts? Im surprised you have been able to post without at least a name. See " registration" thread, under the Tac HQ.

Hi Lee,

You're a very new member to MLU and haven't signed off your posts in this thread with even your name - people don't know you as yet so please update your profile with a bit more info as to location and your name for the folks you're "talking to" ... especially if you're wheeling and dealing for or with "bits" with other members

For the record, you CAN add your name as a signature or under your profile nickname to save you having to type this information every time in posting/replying if the typing is the issue

I've found the signature doesn't always come across on all posts. Might be related to sometimes not getting private message notices as that happens to me also. Part of why I have my name in the area where other people have the default list member ranking at the left of messages near their graphic.

We see you now Lee, so thanks a lot. Maybe you didn't click on the link that saves information ("submit changes" link) when you originally added those parts ...

I often double check that any changes I do to my profile went through by bringing up my profile AND bringing up a thread I've posted in. The "signature" part doesn't show up in the "profile", it only appears as a "signature" at the end of posts. David (Horsa) ... does this maybe explain why you sometimes "see" your signature and sometimes not?

maybe seeing the signature line depends on whether he is wearing his glasses. I know for an old bugger like me it makes a world of difference .

Welcome to the forum Lee may you learn a lot of new information like I have over time

Cheers

I went to the auction & thought the gun was worth between $5k & 7k but the bidding started at my exit of 10k, sold today for $12,000, condition un-restored, welded breach, complete with platform.

Thanks for the update Euan.
Did you happen to get a good look at those unusual tyres?
