Bridge class plate
I am looking for a bridge class plate for my jeep restoration and wondering if anybody has a spare one they would like to sell? I believe the dimension is @9 1/2 inches but not positive. It looks like there is a pressed edge to it.I have included a picture of the wartime photo showing what bridge plate I need for the jeep restoration.
Thanks,Derk.

Dont know how effective it is as cant recall the look but worth looking into!! If a bit flimsy, try a couple glued back to back and seam sealer/filler (Bondo) to fill the edges! Little bit of imagination goes a long way

Bridge Loading Plate
Derk,
Quite a few months ago (maybe a year!) I got one from the UK. The company advertised on milweb I think, and they do stencils for military vehicles. I did not recall the business name, but a google search tells me it is: http://www.axholmesigns.co.uk The bridge plate I got was genuine NOS WWII. It was not perfect condition, but very close to it. If you order a plate & number set, check first that they still have NOS ones, please. Hope this helps,

Derk,
IIRC the British bridge classifcation sign had a rolled rim, the ones fitted to Canadian CMPs were just flat plate, with screw holes in different locations to fit them in the headlight aperture or on a different location. The former can be bought from various suppliers in the UK, Marcus Glenn springs to mind, the latter can be made by cutting it from sheet steel stock. HTH, Hanno
