Default Help Identifying Machine gun tripod

As the title says i need help identifying this machine gun tripod/ mount . Thanks for your help . The logo is Fabrique Nationale Herstal Belgique ( Belgium ) commonly know as FN . Found this in a barn somewhere in Southern Québec a number of years ago . Cannot figure out what gun it is for .

Default Mystery tripod

My mind's eye goes back to 1960s industrial illustrated catalogues with airbrushed muted photos. I want to think that is a Belgique tripod for the MAG58, but why that comes up is anyone's guess.
