Default MLU decals now available!!!

MLU promo stickers!!!

Help promote Maple Leaf Up through your purchase of these fine adhesive stickers. Size 3" x 3". Digitally reproduced on all season heavy duty vinyl, they make a great addition to your toolbox, auto or mv! A great conversation starter for those not familiar with MLU and its objectives as a site dedicated to promote, preserve and honour Canadian Military Heritage.

Show your support to keep Maple Leaf Up going strong for all. We have a great bunch of fellows here and a superior wealth of knowledge.

GWB, our leader, has taken to task the creation and financing of this wonderful website for many years. Let's all help out to strengthen this resource and keep it viable.

Costs, $3 each, 4 for $10, 10 for $20.
Canadian residents please send SASE (self addressed stamped envelope ) with payment
US and overseas residents please remit in USD to cover postage.

Remittance to Chris Vickery 258 Brady Street Rockwood ON Canada N0B 2K0

Pity you couldn't get a wad of these to Geoff before he flew oat.

Are you doing a size larger than 3"x3"?

PM on it's way.

Tony, GWB is coming fully loaded...
he will have a supply onhand available for purchase.

Depending on demand, other sizes may be available in the future.

For those interested, I would like to gauge how many I need to set aside. Thank you for the support!!!

And thank you for your support of this site, Chris! I would like to see more of these sort of initiatives, as MLU needs all the support it can get. Currently only a few shoulders bear the cost of operating MLU. You might want to let other entrepreneurs know which percentage you set aside for MLU, just to set an example for others who sell through MLU.

Thanks & regards,
Hanno

Thanks Hanno,

I have offered 50% of all profits once my initial investment is paid for.

It was quite a personal investment and I know MLU and myself appreciate the support!!!

I have other ideas to help assist in the financial upkeep of MLU but will see how this goes first.

I have also procurred a couple Maple Leaf UP signs, one on a hardboard for my own personal promotion of MLU at local rallies and events as well as a vinyl banner style that is in GWBs hands to be used as a traveller when he attends overseas events.
I had the vinyl one made for Geoff soas he could easily roll it up and take on his aventures and be able to promote at these overseas venues. Perhaps he will get some pics w/ said sign when he is in OZ...

Dave, I'll try and get a scan posted.

They are 3" x 3" square, black b/g with the div sign and Maple Leaf Up w/ arrow similar to the banner atop the forum, or more specifically, like the logo shown on the MLU homepage.

AS promised, sorry about my crappy scan and editing techniques. I'm more of a wrench turner than a button pusher...

Hi Chris

I hope you don't mind but I have re-submitted the picture so that you don't have to download it.

No you don't. Never mind, I've fixed it. Another wrench turner, eh? Keep at it!

That's very generous of you, Chris. We DO appreciate the support. Thanks!

Now, who is going to make up MLU baseball caps, t-shirts, WHY?

Wow, this is like Christmas for MLU to read (just now) all about what you've done, are doing Chris. How wonderful. And awesome that Geoff has some in Oz with him. Two things have been going on that has prevented me from seeing this sooner I guess... MLU access troubles ... plus have been/am still quite sick in my little corner but hoping not to be much longer

You're awesome to do this and I love that community spirit and involvement in MLU, which really is a HOME away from home to many

Pay it forward?

Karmen

Thanks for the assitance Jordan and Hanno. My main problem with my computer illiteracy is the fact that I have no formal training and have learned with a hands on approach. I don't spend enough time playing to figure out all the nuances of the Windows operating system. I spend my time wrench turning instead!

BTW, the stickers do appear much nicer when you see them as my scanner and resolution setting is crappy. The colours are bold.

As previously posted, I will see how the sales go with this little project and should things work out I will endeavour to provide other wants such as T shirts, crests and perhaps beer or coffee mugs. (Hint- buy the stickers, make it a sell out, show me you guys are hungry for this stuff...)

P.S. Carm, take care of yourself, we're all rootin' for ya!

Just out of curiousity, besides the MLU stickers, what would you guys like to see available? Remember, the proceeds of whatever I have made get split with MLU therefore the production costs need to warrant the efforts...

T Shirts
Coffee mugs
Beer mugs
Embroidered crests
WHY???

Thanks Chris. I am trying to take care of myself and turn this crap around. Very frustrating (understatement)

Meanwhile, I really do love what you're doing here. It's great knowing Geoff will have this stuff along, especially at Corowa.

Too bad there aren't any MLU Hats and Caps ... especially something with design along the lines of Canadians in WW2 headgear/wear ... ... is this a possible idea to play with? Maybe if someone can sew (I can't, and don't have a sewing machine anyways, otherwise I would volunteer to help make them if provided with the materials, no charge ... and they could be sold with a lot of the proceeds going to MLU running expenses. (this is just me freeflowing with an idea, good or bad, and tossing it out here)

Greetings to fellow MLUers!

Just another reminder re MLU stickers. Show your support and help out MLU. Its free for all to enjoy and to utilize the knowledge offered by some of the brightest in the hobby.

I am suprised at the lack of responses I've had on this fundraising effort but I do appreciate the couple customers we have had so far.
Paypal is available for those of you who prefer.

Many thanks!
Chris

Chris while the response may be slow in chilly Canada, the stickers were a sucess at Corowa, with Geoff able to sell many. If there is any further interest in Australia in purchasing these stickers while Geoff is still here, speak up now or pay Int'l postage!

Chris, I tried to send you some via Paypal but it doesn't accept cvickery cogeco.ca as an email address. There is a box where I must put your phone number or email address. What is your email address so I can send you money for the decals? Thanks, Derek.

Default Stickers

Chris has done outstanding work here. His stickers are perfect. We have almost 1400 members here, so theoretically, there should be 1400 orders. We sold a few in Oz, and gave a few more away (my weakness for kindness shown), but the rest of you lot should contact Chris -- he did this on his own and deserves the credit and compensation for this effort. Don't be cheapskates... we're a family and that's all there is to it.
