Default BSA 300 watt Generator

Does anyone know when BSA commenced production post-war of their copy of the Johnson Chorehorse Generator?

I have recently picked a 1954 dated manual which covers the 12 volt model which was the first one in production. The CES kit includes a lead with a two pin plug on it which presumably is designed to plug into the war-time wooden and post-war metal radio battery boxes.
