Default Chevy 216 Throwout bearing

Hi all

For a Chevy 216 using the heavy duty 11” flywheel and 9 bolt pressure plate which type of throwout bearing should I be using? The short or tall one?

Default hmm

With the clutch in and the bell housing , trial fit without the transmission to see where it places your clutch fork in relation to the clutch peddle rod. the tall one will move the other end of the clutch fork forward. I know I have different hights but it was all taken up by the clutch rod adjustment.

Hi Jordan. I don't know much about this, but was wondering if the short one has a radiused thrust face on the bearing. If so it is probably for a diaphragm pressure plate.

I think the lower one is for a Chevy with 4 speed box , and the higher one for a GMC with 5 speed box
