Bob Moseley, RIP

I have sad news Bob was badly hurt yesterday in an accident where sparks from an angle grinder ignited his overalls.

He is in a coma in an Adelaide hospital. His condition is listed as serious.

I've left a message for his wife Ada, and I'm sure our community will join me in wishing him all the best in what will be a difficult recovery.

Ada has spoken to Hugh Davis and asked him to let people know.

Our thoughts and prayers are with both Bob and Ada.

I had a bad feeling in my guts when I saw the incident on the TV news last night and thought I recognised his property and truck, but no names were given and you hope for the best. I have known Bob for 30+ years and worked with him in our former working lives. I believe he is now listed as critical and is in an induced coma with 3rd degree burns.

Bob we may not always have seen eye to eye on some things but Joslyn and I both wish you a speedy recovery and our thoughts are with you and Ada at this time. I am sure my thoughts are shared by all the members in our military vehicle restoration fraternity.

Not sure if this is the correct spot for such an announcement but long standing MLU member Bob Moseley has suffered severe burns in an accident recently. I received word on the grape vine last evening and today I spoke with a friend of the family. Apparently he was using an angle grinder and the sparks from same ignited something on his overalls. He is in ICU in a hospital in Adelaide but OK. A reasonably drawn out and painful mending time is in front of him and we would all wish him and his wife well. Thanks Richard. Takes us a while to catch up sometimes in the Northern States.
Had a good chat with Bob's wife an hour ago and she advised that Keith (?) had done the honours a while back. Anyway nothing lost as they say but he is one unwell chap at the moment. Thanks again.... Rod

Just spoken to Hugh again, Bob has just had his 6th graft, and is still battling many issues such as infections and troubles with his lungs, he has been brought sort of out of the coma but not to a state where he is really conscious.

Please pass along the condolences of everyone who as known Bob through MLU, this is a strange hobby where we have friends we have never met, may never have even spoken to but we know them and have shared something with them. Friends who we feel their passing.

Hello All,

I have become somewhat of an infrequent visitor of MLU of late. However, the first messages I check have been about Bob's progress since his tragic accident. I was very saddened to hear of Bob's passing. My sympathies go out to Bob's family.

While I never met Bob in person he was always kind enough to reply to my posts and PM's. A sad loss to his family and to the Australian and International vehicle restoration community. RIP Bob
