Hi Mike

I asked this not too long ago. I can't remember what thread the reply was in.

However I think the reply was not to bother due to the heat not getting to great.

Hi there!

Well in the past I have used the modern replacement for "fibro" aka "AC sheeting" which contains no asbestos. Can be known as Fibre cement sheeting. Worked fine in a CMP dog kennel and Aust carrier lower engine side covers.

Hi there BM!

Well trying to find a pic of them but not much to see as they are encased in tin. Oh and BTW not my carrier but a mates one that he stores and works on here... i'm into bigger toys like a stuart tank and even got a LVT4.

Anyway will post a pic when I find them...

Default Try Aircraft Spruce and Supply (web)

Aircraft cowls are usually lined with thin insulating sheet material tha works great for MVs and is relatively inexpensive. Glue it down with high temperature red silicone.
