MILITARY UNIFORMS

Military dress has always played a very important roll in the History of war. From the early Roman and Greek times to the thin red lines of the British soldier in the early African campaigns. When today’s dress is part uniform imbedded with modern electronic devices common sense and reality has ruled the day. But certainly color and plumage placed a very important roll in recruitment and utilizing one of man’s weaknesses, his vanity. The photos I have included simply display the great number of uniforms that were used by me in my period of the Second World War and some reserve time. I am sure that all you chaps on MLU must have some great photos of your kin in their unit uniforms that were used both in the reserve and regular army dress. So dig out some of those snaps from your family albums.
