No connection with seller, etc, although the engine is not too far from me .

Then all you need to do is to find a M3 Medium, Ram or early M4 Medium Tank. I hope the engine was properly inhibited and stored.

Default Who wants one....

What would be the interest for such a beast or 2 or 3 in the Ottawa area?

Seemingly complete but stored WITHOUT any attempt to preserve the engine...... do the CWM have such an engine to do a static display..... or could they be considered as parts engine?

I am trying to be careful here since they are not mine to negotiate about but it would be a shame to have them sold for aluminium scrap......

Just curious....

Default R975 Radials

Hi Bob:

Where can one get their hands on one, two or three in the Ottawa area?

No I am sorry to say the P&W R975 is not the same, it is about double the HP, and roughly 50% larger in size.

The engine type you are looking for, would perhaps be contained within a Stearman.

Actually, both the P&W and the Wright are about the same HP and size, the clue being the R975 designation, both are 975 cubic inches (973 for the Wright) and both about 375 to 440 HP. The Stearman usually has a Continental W-670, seven cylinder of about 250 HP.

Gunner, Brian Asbury has a R975, test run and preserved, asking I think around $2850 CAN.
Bob Phillips also has some, although I'm not too sure about condition and he does have bags of NOS parts as well...
