Default Lend lease info

Been going through the naa web site www.naa.gov.au and looking at some of the documents relating to the lend lease setup between Australia and the USA . There are thousands of seperate pages there . Many hours of reading .Some of it is hand written notes , in pencil.

Many of the documents are for the P.M. Curtain and high ranking ministers , telegrams etc. .... They were trying to get around the British . Basically , they had to order munitions and other essential stuff through the British Supply Council.... they decided to dump that setup as the British had control over what went where . They approached the C in C SWPA ( MacArthur ) and worked out a better way ... instead of going through the British, MacArthur would order the stuff directly through himself . Not a bad ploy really .

Some stuff relating to Canada is there too, it's not all on line , just dribs and drabs of it are.
