Default Does anyone know about Hawker Harrier In Canada?

This UK company states on the web page link attached that they have sent a Harrier out here to Canada.

Does anyone know where it resides now?

Apparently it was on display in Calgary back in 2010:

Quote:
An Ex Jet Art Aviation Supplied Sea Harrier FA2 serial Zd615 that we exported to Canadian company Orbital Energy Ltd went on display at the Global Petroleum show in Calgary, Alberta recently. According to Orbital Energy Vice President Ben Cotton ‘The Harrier was a tremendous success at the show!’ with over 60000 people looking at the aircraft, the only Sea Harrier aircraft in Canada.

Once again this goes to show parking a Fast Jet Fighter aircraft outside your door certainly gets you noticed!

It is reported as now residing in front of the company owners home in Red Deer Alberta.

I saw it at the Airdrie Air Show last year. Owners were nice people. Did not know they were looking to get rid of it.

I think we should have a 50/50 draw and buy it and put it on the lawn of the MLU clubhouse.

Default He is a collector

Apparently the owner is selling his Harrier with a spare fuselage and parts because (wait for it), he has other projects to work on. The TV report flipped briefly to show some ex RAF fuselages under tarps, perhaps a Hunter and then a Provost. The shipping was quoted at C$30k.

He chose Kijiji because those people who know him, also know what he has and whether things are for sale. By using a diffierent means of publicity, he is getting more attention and interest. Maybe even a higher price.
