Default That is a new one on me

Hi Kim

That is the first time I've ever seen one of those, that is neat if anybody finds a warehouse full of them I think I know some people who would like one.

Cheers Phil

Got one ( no) has smaller containers in it, and a ladle and scoop clipped in the lid.

Have a wine jerrycan, too, about 5 Ltrs..

Putting two and two together, I'd be hitting on our French or Belgian members.

Pics if you want them

Any NATO stock numbers on it? If it is French, Belgian or German, look for the second group of numbers to look like 11, 12, or 13.

I've got a rusty jerry can that I might make into a travelling bar set ...

I have one.

It looks as others have said just like a jerry can.

They were being sold at Beltring in about 1997 and Ihave never seen them again.

I think they were european of some flavour.

Default Mystery solved

From a list of NSN prefixes,

- 7330

- Kitchen Hand Tools and Utensils

- Includes Pots; Pans; Can Openers; Graters; Food Mashers; Cleavers; Vacuum Bottles and Jugs.

- Excludes Utensils with Integral Heating Units; Knives; Forks; Spoons.

Kitchen sinks are in a different category. 7330-12-124-9866 is listed in German as a "SPEISENBEHAELTER, I", like the label shows.

For the sharp eyed among you this is not news but others should look carefully.

One version has three small containers that stack one atop the other.

The one on sale is a single aluminum container.

So you know when you get them, there is a small rubber tit kind of thingy that you press to break the vacuum as the cooling will sucker the lid on somewhat and makes it awkward / messy to open.

Regards

Robin

Default shipping prices seem to be high....

Hi David,

Yes, their shipping is kind of high...they got me for $29 within the US...

My only reasoning for buying this is that I wanted it, and that $78 in this hobby is like eating one potato chip.....

Thanks , David

I just saw one out in Westbourne yesterday. Nees dome hinge work, but it seemed to be insulated. It was ex-Bundeswier.

Default Caution

When I tried to open Rob Aubin's link it got me to a blue screen error and froze my computer.

It may just be a coincidence.... but I will not try again.
