Default Summer Show?

Ok guys, here's the drill. I offered you this free space and you're supposed to use it to advertise your (our) various shows. Just to be an S-D, where's the detail on your (our) summer show this year? Seems to me it should be just around the corner...

I thought that the show was advertised in the OMVA publication as Saturday July 26, in Oshawa.

Am I the only one that pays the dues and gets this in the mail?

Call me a silly bunt, but wasn't this space supposed to be for them to advertise their activities so those not of the membership ilk would know the whys, wheres and wherefores? I give up.

Geoff,

It's really no suprise considering the lack of updates that appear on the OMVA website. If their webmaster (or lack thereof) doesn't have the time or energy to attend to matters there, I somehow doubt the importance of posting here.

I am sure to be stomped over this posting but I can take it. The OMVA seems to be rather quiet for some reason. I did notice that club update info in the recent Supply Line magazine (Army Motors) was also pending as they had not been in contact either.

I suppose that I am just as guilty, as I haven't had any contact with any OMVA executive but I am an area representative... not an exec position but rather a volunteer ambassador to help promote the hobby/club to others.

Hopefully July 26 works out, albeit smack in the middle of summer and holiday season for many...

Default Omva Summer Show

Hello Folks

I guess it is up to the editor of the OMVA Magazine to update this site in addition to creating, publishing, stuffing envelopes, stamping, labeling and mailing the magazine. Oh i almost forgot and reminding members to renew there membership when it expires.

Yes it was published in CMP Magazine, however only OMVA members receive this. For the rest of the world there is word of mouth and MLU.
It is also posted on upcoming events on the OMVA web page.

OMVA SUMMER SHOW
Military Vehicle & Militaria Displays,
Flea Market as well as Living History Displays.
Date: Saturday & Sunday 26 & 27 July 2008
08:00-16:00 hrs
Location: Oshawa Military & Industrial Museum
Oshawa Airport (South Field)
1000 Stevenson Rd. North
Oshawa Ontario Canada.

Fore more details Contact: Syd Schatzker 905-881-1929

Thanks

Eric

Default MVPA Updating pending

Hello Chris and the MLU world
Me again
In reference to the OMVA affiliate in the MVPA Supply Line.
The OMVA updates has been sent in and confirmed by the MVPA to myself.
I was not impressed when i saw the same posting over the OMVA info in Supply Line. I was advised by Syd (the OMVA President) that he had faxed in the required information to the MVPA. I was notified by the administration at the MVPA that by the time we sent in the info it was past the deadline for Supply Line. Thats why we are amongs many other clubs with the same posting over our info. For some strange reason they would not accept an e-mail from me stating that there have been no executive changes, they wanted the form completed and sent in.??

Yes we are still looking for a web master. Syd updates by getting his son to help out when he is home from school. If we had a dedicated volunteer to take on the web page then i am sure that things will be updated sooner than later.
I have leads on a new member who is also starting up a new web sales business who is interested in trying out the web master role. I am just waiting for him to get his business sorted out first.

Thanks again
Eric

Default OMVA Summer Show...

...is exactly as Eric has described. Starts at 8:00 Saturday July 26th and is guaranteed to run the full Saturday. Wether there will be a Sunday event is your guess. Hasn't been for year's but Frank v. R. has high hopes.
Frank is running the Show as we agreed earlier this year. I did the Spring Show, Frank does the Summer and Eric does the Fall with Mr. Lodge.
Frank has a firm grasp of the situation and antone wanting details should contact him. I will look after the vendor tables.
Parking will be closely controlled this year to prevent the balls-up we had last year. I will post a map (with Geoff's help) sdhowing the layout as soon as it's done.
