Default just a question?

As this is my first time in, let me say that I have over the last year heard all the bad rap the Iltis has received. Even with all that I still would like to own one. There a piece of Canadian Military history (good or bad) and having one seems right for me.
I seen one up close at Willy's Acres and the Militia in my home town has one on base.
From some of the websites I been too they certainly have room for adaptation and parts from other VW vehicles seem to work with some effort.
So here is the big question for the novise. Where can you buy one? Willy's dosen't have any in working shape and the Sail store in Quebec sounds dubis at best. There don't appear to be any military surplus auctions around. So how does one find one
Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Randy, while I have never dealt with them, Carleton Automotive did have a pretty decent one on hand for around $3500 at last years OMVA show in Oshawa. I did see them recently advertising Iltis vehs and parts in Military Vehicles Magazine. Try www.CARLETONAUTOMOTIVE.com They are located near Ottawa.

Default Ilti

Suggest that you just wait for a little while. There will be 750 of them coming out of the system just as soon as the Wolfs are delivered and the new heavy duty civilian trucks can get out to the militia units.
