Default Camouflage "Shrimp Net" netting

I have a lead on a large square of netting. It's army green and for sale on the G503 forum ostensibly as camo net. But instead of the broad weave that you then place burlap strips in it is more like the weave of a helmet net. We're these used as vehicle nets?

Thanks
Matt

Hello Matt,

These were used as the camouflage nets on early war vehicles. I’ve been looking for one for my Carrier. If you watch the you tube video on Carrier weapon handling they show clearly the early war net in use.

Regards,

Note the netting on the turret of the Churchill, is that the sort of material we're talking about? Looks extremely fine like the finer helmet netting, but as you say in large sheets.

Chris, Tom,

Both examples cited seem to support what I thought. That's why I asked over here!

Thanks a bunch! I guess I'll pursue this one then.

Matt

Cam nets.
I am of the belief that the fine meshed cam nets where not used (so much) for vehicles but as a cam netting to cover bulk stores such as a dump of gas cans, boxes of rations, crated ammo, etc.
