Default Wartime photos of 41 Chevrolet 2.5-3T truck

Hi Lads ,
I have a friend restoring a 41 Chev 3 ton truck and he wants to put in Wartime colours . does anyone have any photos thye could post up so i can give him an idea of paint schemes and markings ? He is interested in Airforce and Army paint schemes and markings .

James, have a look at Anzac Steel which has a good article by Laurie Wright on the subject.

This pic is of course a Ford but a similar shape.

Default standard 3 ton GS 3 colour cammo

here is the pattern from Steven Talbots Australian Formation markings book. This pattern was applied to all 30cwt and 3 ton trucks regardless of make.

The picture was taken at Bandiana. You'll find many of the 'official' pictures were either taken at Bandiana, Monegeeta or Wesley College in Melbourne, with smaller numbers taken at Puckapunyal, GM-H at Fishermens Bend and even a few at Kensington in Melbourne.

Thanks For the Photos and Information Guys its much appreciated . If you find any more i would appreciate them as well I will get some photos of the guys restoration and post them up here at some stage .
