«*B*» Set antennae isolator wanted - repro OK
Hello Carrier , Jeep & CMP fans. Went for a Spring ride in my MkII Carrier today and i broke my «*B «* set antennae isolator.. A common occurence because the rubber after 75 year is so «*dry*» and brittle . I remember seeing repro’s being offered on this site . Please remind me who had them please . The Carrier does not run or look as good without this «*critical*» have to have part ...Many thanks to the community.

That was Richard who was either making full repros, or rebuilding yours for a bit less money. http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/member.php?u=5350
I had 2 break on me, and he rebuilt both. They looked like NOS. No failures since. http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=24375 Agree, the carrier just didn't look right without it. |

Movie theater? Or the kind where the fat lady sings and the men wear tights?

Haridimos, the production never stopped to be honest, they are made to order these days. A few people have asked for some complete antenna bases so I best order the materials again

Robert.
I notice in your first post, your B-Set Aerial Guard appears to be too low. It looks like it is resting on top of the square base plate of the B-Set Aerial mounting post. If you lowered it there to service your broken aerial mount, that is OK. However, if that low position is where you fitted the Guard, that is incorrect. The top clamping ring of the guard assembly should be just below the circular mounting plate on the bottom of the rubber B-Set Aerial Mount. This places the circular guard ring well above the top of the rubber mount, in a position where it can reduce damage to the aerial itself. By the way, I didn’t see any buckets of Maple Syrup in the back of your Carrier. Is the sap not flowing yet? David |

David my friend you are right . My bad , i had it too low. Thanks for pointing that out to me . When i get the rubber «*duckie*» back from Richie i will correct that and thus prevent any further damage . As for the sugaring season , it’s still too cold for the Maple tree sap to flow . Maybe in the next week or so. Collecting the pails of Maple water with the Carrier sounds like a great idea and original . Stay tuned ...
