Default 2008 MLU Calendar

Hi all
Before we all get into trouble clogging up other threads with talk of calendars, why not start a thread here.
Nominations for months as follows:
January - Salesman Bob - nominated by Rob
February - Rob - nominated by Salesman Bob
March - Cliff - nominated by Salesman Bob (I put Cliff in third as he was the next to respond).
April would have to be Keefy (April 1st )

That leaves the rest of the year but I nominate Mr. Media (Keefy) to compile the calendar as he seems to have so much time on his hands. We need some international representation and this could be an interesting little fund raiser for Jif.

As for Kartmann & Jif I think the image of the pair of them standing in front of a Blitz would be a great cover or centrehold.

Bob

Hey!

Actually I'm October 1st

The trouble with a calendar is of course who's in and who misses out...

What significant dates need to be incorporated?

Here are a few for consideration:

Sid Swallow birthday

First build CMP

Events - and various club fixed meeting dates

MLU foundation day

Should we gazette national, no, INTERNATIONAL public holidays for the Corowa week?

Default Forget Calendar

Lets make it a diary. Lots of pages for photographs and all significant dates. Keefy is far better at diaries anyway.

LOL I have to be November Bob.

If you like I can design the calendar when I do my own for sale in a couple of months time.

I will be doing one of each of the following at least.

models, old military wrecks (I knew I went to Ken Hughes yard so many times for a reason) old fashion roses, roses in general, Australian native plants, orchids and old Gympie Historic buildings among others. I can get them printed at a reasonable price too.

I am doing mine as an A4 size sheet folded in half and printed on both sides.

I will also be doing Christmas and other greeting cards as well, similar but smaller then the ones I sent some of you guys (and gal) last Christmas.

cheers
Cliff

Default Let's Do Both

Hi Cliff
Good idea. What about a just Australia calendar featuring comical images such as Max posted with in that case Max being the feature for a particular month. So we need many great images submitted to you for vetting for the final 12. That will take a bit of pressure off Keefy.

However for the international MLUers a diary would be good featuring photographs, events etc. We'll leave that one up to Keefy unless someone else volunteers.

These could all be good fun/fund raisers for Jif.

I was thinking more along the lines of:

"Hell's bells, it was running when we offloaded it!"

or....

"Remind me again, we DROVE it here, did we not?"

Good idea overall, Bob, we'll have to work out details. This COULD get complicated given the vast pictorial resources we have to work with...
