Default TRR Info

Hello I am looking for general info or a contact about the Three Rivers Regiment [TRR] in WW2. My father was part of that Regiment and I am in the process of acquiring some info from Archives Canada but that process is very slow and I don't think that it will give me everything I am looking for. I am also reading an on line account of" The Canadians in Italy" and I find it a bit confusing. I guess what I want to know is the Corp/Regiment/Company etc. structure. What is at the very top to the bottom of the system. ie: soldier belongs to a Regiment, the Regiment is part of XXX, XXX is part of YYY, YYY is part of ZZZ and so on.As I read this account of Canadians in Italy and they speak of different armys ie: 8th British Army etc. So was the TRR part of the 8th British Army or was the TRR just the TRR or part of something else that was part of something else etc.As i read i want to know that I am reading about my fathers movements specifically and not some other group.Hope this isn't too confusing for you because it is for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Gary Adams
