The vehicle was in kindergarten
Parked under the trees for about 60 years

Itzik,

All the armour is complete, tracks are there, etc., so it looks like a great restoration candidate!

Good luck and keep us posted here, I am sure you will get a lot of feedback and information you may be looking for.

There are two main ones: Brian Asbury from Acton Ontario, Canada, and Dirk Leegwater (LWD) in Holland.

http://www.lwdparts.com/

Brian does not have an online store, but he can be reached on this forum under BCA and can email a parts list.

As well, John Bizal from midwest Military makes some repro sheet metal parts.

https://midwestmilitary.com//midwest...encarrier.html

None of these will be your one-stop shopping link though. Between the three of those, and the occasional reproductions or finds made available on this forum, we all manage.

A British phrase for drive shaft or propeller shaft. What he means is, did you disconnect the universal joints before dragging it on the tracks.

Half shaft in British terminology is the two shafts within an axle that drive the hubs from the diff.

Half shaft = axle shaft
Rear axle = axle assembly

Terry, there are no universal joints in your average carrier.

Ok I understand the concept

The engine and gearbox is not in the vehicle .

* All the levers of a steering system was dismantled
* lever of the brake system was dismantled

In fact there were only rear axle
Dragging the vehicle caused all parts to move
* Allowing continuation easily dismantled

** I apologize for my English

Once you get the liners back in the engine block, before you put the cam bearings in, I can heartily recommend pulling the Welsh plugs out of the block and having the thing hot tanked. As you have changed the liners you will be able to clean all the silt out of the water jackets, but hot tanking makes a massive difference.

I had mine hot tanked, and the engine ran cool even in 30 degree heat (until we sat in traffic for long periods anyway)

Good luck with it all, I am envious of you.
