FORD Universal Carrier dash wiring
I've had a couple requests for some schematics I made up. I started the diagrams as a way to clarify and simplify the wiring process on my restoration. When I dug into it, a couple oddities caused me to expand the diagrams to both Mk 1 &2's and the C01UC-106000-C2 vs. C01UC-106000-D2 vs. C01UC-106000-C switch panels.
I thought I would post here for others to use & perhaps the forum can ID mistakes I overlooked. I took a few restorers' liberties in my drawings such as; modern fuse box, modern screw terminal, up sized wire. On the mk 1 dash panel I added extra fuses & screw terminal. The fuses were added to protect the carrier's electrical system & the terminal for ease of wiring. If you don't want the changes, wire up as the manual and your take out harness illustrate, however the gauges, switch board, toggle switches, etc. should be illustrated correct in my drawings. Due to the picture upload size restrictions the attached schematic may be too small to print out, message me your email and I'll send a bigger image via email. Larry send your email and I'll get back to you. BTW ...if anyone has a couple spare 6 volt fuel & temp gauges for sale for my dash panels could you message me & much appreciated. |

C01UC-106000-C2 vs. C01UC-106000-D2
switch boards C01UC-106000-C2 vs. C01UC-106000-D2. This one got by me till this exercise, D2 has an extra lug. and an extra position on the light switch.
I made some assumptions on the "C2" schematic to reflect this. You will see that the T & S wires have been grouped up. Perhaps there is a better way to use the C2 switch board while considering the head, tail and side lights? |

A few more.
I have a few couple spare 104837 fuse holders for sale...or perhaps work into a temp / fuel gauge trade. |

wiring notes
I found a few notes from some time back...I had a quick look over and all looks to be ok. If you use this perhaps it would be wise to double check my lengths, placement, etc. with the manual, post any mistakes I've made here so I can update my notes.
