Default Folding Field Tables

Does anyone have drawings/plans or even dimensions of the Commonwealth folding field tables like the one here? Looking for something different then the standard US table of which I have a couple.

Thanks
Matt

Matthew.

My Mum served with the NAAFI in Algeria during the war. Their main base was at the Relief Camp at Surcouf, on the Med Coast, East of Algiers. They ran a number of remote operations from Surcouf at a number of other locations, which the NAAFI staff often rotated through. The location of that photo was one of them, at least for a while.

Those tables might be NAAFI related equipment set up near their Canteen Tent. Just a thought.

I know we have a couple of WW1 tables at work. I have also seen stcks of WW2 tables out at my favorite scrapyard, but can't say for sure they are that pattern. I'll try and get photos.....hoping to get out there soon.

David,

If your presumption is correct then that is more then fine with me! I need the tables for a Salvation Army War Services canteen. So that works.

Rob,

I'd love to get some of those. But I imagine the shipping halfway across the continent would be pretty expensive.

The ones at the surplus store won't be worth the effort. They have been stacked up outdoors for 3 or 4 decades at least.

Oh I'm sure the wood is in tatters by now. But the steel folding assemblies are what I would be after. Someone suggested a wallpaper table. And yes they had similar flat bar stock legs. But alas they are now hip to have in your living room and therefore the few remaining ones are expensive. All the modern folding tables have that recognizable tube stock leg design. So I can't just go into Walmart then stop at Home Depot on the way home for some lumber.
