Talking Mystery box

I started to clean a mystery ammo box I received thru E-Bay as a "Bren Ammo" box which it isn't.
It is made like one that I have but is a size smaller, same style of closure. Same type of strap on the end. It has a felt sealing strip around the edge of the lid . A felt strip down the middle of the lid held by metal fingers on the ends.
When I got the layer of primer off there was Chinese writing underneath. Got it translated and it says
76 very high explosive box of 10
There is places for 10 magazines?? I thought maybe Boys AT rifle mags but it is not shaped like any Boys rifle magazine boxes that I have seen before. There are no other markings on the box not even the GSW stamp or other manufacturer.

Default 7.92?

Just a guess, but maybe it is for straight 7.92mm magazines for Inglis Chinese contract Brens.
