British armour part?
Can anyone identify attached pics? I believe they are British (Centurion or Ferret ?) and appear to be a tach or speedo drive/splitter unit. Brass housing with number P57540 cast in body. All leads greatly appreciated!

Not exactly an identification but it was normal practice on British WW2 tanks (well Centaur, Cromwell and Comet) to have two speedometers. One for the driver and one for the Commander which was mounted on the engine bulkhead. They were driven from seperate flexible drive cables from a fitting similar to that shown which was bolted to he inside face of one of the final drive reduction boxes. So Centurion is entirely possible I think.

Bob, I do not recognise it as anything Ferret related

It's not Cromwell, but does look like the Centurion one in the parts lists.
