Default Bren Loading tool Box (?)

I could be wrong but this listing on fleabay sure looks like a loading tool box for the top of the battery box on a Mk1 carrier. https://www.ebay.com/itm/WW1-RUSTON-...Ceu:rk:22:pf:0

They list it as a WW1 engine bolts box, but it sure looks like the box I think it it. If it is, I'm sure it will make some MLU carrier owner very happy to find an original.

I contacted the seller out of interest and asked if it was date stamped?

He replied:-

No but its the last or four I had and two were 1918 stamped, and these went for £85 each

Kevin
I suspect it's an early version of the box. I also suspect that the seller was reading a part number as a date. Can you post some photos when it shows? Inquiring minds want to know.

I knew someone on the site would make use of it.

I think it’s actually dated 1940
