Default Centurion Mk 5 with no voltage regulator for Meteor 4b engine?

Hi,
We have what I believe is a Canadian Mk 5 Centurion tank. We have a rebuilt Meteor 4B engine we will be installing in it. The tank does not have the 45 amp voltage regulator that is used with the generator installed on these engines. The only regulator installed is the 150 amp one for the auxiliary engine. Anyone know why we are missing the 45 amp one?
Malcolm
