Smile Maple Leaf Chev or GMC?

I found this photo while searching Pictures Australian. Originally from the Northern Territory Libary it shows 148 AGT drivers in Central Australia during 1941-42. I think the vehicle is a Maple Leaf Chevrolet but as they also used GMC trucks that looked similar I am not 100% sure.

What do you think?

Default Ml?

Looks lile a Maple Leaf Truck to me...the GMCs used a grille with less and wider bars in 1939 and 1940 than Chevy. Also it appears to say MAPLE LEAF [+] TRUCK on the engine cover where [+] is the Maple Leaf symbol. May be wrong though!
