NEW BOOK - Uniforms of the WWII Tommy
Uniforms of the WWII Tommy is now available. It is the same format as the Equipment and Weapons books that are part of the same series which came out last year.
This is a photo reference book with mostly B&W photos and 16 pages of color shots. Book is soft cover with 426 pages and over 1200 photographs. Click the link below and then click on the image of the books at the top of that page for further information including samples of the photos, table of contents and click-able payment links. http://www.visualcollector.com/ There is also a link on the same page that will get you to a list of WWII British and Commonwealth militaria that I am parting out. |

Good Books
Horsa,
I already have mine on order. The latest in the series by David Gordon - if it is as good as the rest it will be good fun to snuggle up with in front of the fire all winter. Your other books on Commonwealth military equipment were first rate - I generally put a book down after I find the first spelling mistake ( so Jean Bouchery's series took quite a while to plow thru' ) but this one kept me turning the pages for days! The other 'pamphlets' are OK, but if you want good books on out favourite subject, get Gordons stuff. Always lots of new pix in B&W as well as many colour plates. Very good reference works on hunting trips. How else do you know a 'bren tripod strap' from a 'PIAT ammo crate strap' when you stumble across them at the flea market? Stewart |
