I hauled dynamite for three years after the war .I picked up seven tons with a two and half ton truck in the city of Edmonton ,no escort .Some trips were 500 miles long . Old and frozen dynamite could be a problem .My moto was I never had it blow up yet .One fellow lost his life cutting it with his jack knife .Use only brass knives .One time climbing a hill I threw the tire chains in the box .When I go there they had pounded some of the blasting caps flat .CIL the company that made the dynamite said that only one cap would go off .I thought that was odd .I know now what they meant .POW!!
