I'm looking for information if anyone has or knows about a type of winch I have. It appears to be military as it is military green . It it hand operated by a handle with chain inside like a chainfall would have. It is very heavy . Not much for markings on , just some numbers. ie CGB 8816, CGB 8817, CGB 8847, L 67, as well as the letters P and W stamped on it . It has a button head grease fitting on it the same size and style as a bren gun carrier has . Hopefully someone has knowledge of this type of winch. If i can ever get it figured out how to get pictures small enough i will post a picture then .
Thanks Eric |

Thank you Keith for posting the pictures for me . As you can see it is not on it's original mountings. It used to belong to my dad and i've seen it kicking around ever since i was a kid . I have just really started paying attention to the old stuff he used to have. Would like to know more about the winch if possible .
Thanks Eric |
