Help with a Canadian M37
Hi All. Looking for some vehicle info help but not for me. Being the Editor for The Ontario Military Vehicle Association, I occasionally get emails asking for help and in this case, just trying to help out a fellow MV enthusiast who is located in Oregon, USA. He recently acquired a Canadian M37 truck that had been "Americanized" but wants to return it to how it looked while in Canadian service with correct vehicle/M37 markings.
From the fellow in Oregon...the serial number stamped on the frame between the bumper and the grill is 53-41216. According to what I'm told, the rig might have been assigned to "Queens Own Rifles of Canada" group. Another oddity is I'm told that the other identifying number would be stamped on the frame, just behind the rear cab support, driver's side. I did find a number(s) but it doesn't jive with what people say it should be. The stamping is number 1268107. Next to that, in a circle, with smaller numbers is another stamping, with the numbers 126, then below that the numbers 8109, then below that the letters "MC". Again, this request is not for me but for a fellow MV enthusiast and custodian of an M37 truck. Thanks in advance for any help...greatly appreciated!

Serial #
He's close , about 2 inches above the 1268107 is the serial number . It's hard to read ,the guy on the line with the stamps needed a bigger hammer.
