Default Canadian Jiffy Jeep (M38A1) stolen: keep a look out

I was up at CFB Borden last week and learned that one of the Jiffy jeeps was stolen last summer in the Drummondville area during the Canada day weekend on the sunday or monday , the vehicle was inside a 5 ton commercial truck , keep an eye out for the vehicle or parts of it , these are odd ducks due to all the mods done to them, maybe we get lucky, the EME Regiment has 2 Jiffy jeeps #1 CFR 67-08105 with serial #97375 , this serial is wrong as per the list , #2 info unknown at this time
regards Frank

Hi Hanno, you can find it on you-tube , it is the demo jeep that gets broken down in parts by a team and then reassmbled, drive on , drive off the parade square , the British also had these demo teams ,

Frank,

That's afwul. HMVF forum has a seperate forum for notifications regarding stolen MV's and equipment. You could also post the message there (or I could to it for you)

Here in Holland we also have a one of those jeep demo teams, the Jeep construction team. They had a Willys/Ford which burnt to the ground after a fire in their storage space if I remember correctly. What is it with these Jiffy jeeps??? Someone doesn't like them, it seems.

Alex

I was shown a picture of a BCR jeep in the upstairs officers mess at the Beatty Street Drill Hall in Vancouver. It was there for months before they brought in engineers to remove it. This missing jeep may be in some unauthorized location, check the roof!

Default Dissappearing Jiffy Jeep

Hell, what i would like to know is what was a Jiffy Jeep doing in Drummondville in the first place ?

Was it in transit from or to the Martitimes ( Gagetown-Halifax ) cause i have never seen a Jiffy Jeep demo in Québec.

I would surely want to see one in person. It is utterly amazing from what i have seen on Youtube .

Hope they catch the buggers and hang them high and dry.

Robert
